HPS2 Transfer out valuation
« on: December 17, 2016, 09:07:13 AM »
There have been a few items in the news about transfer out values from defined benefit schemes that have had me thinking despite all being quiet after the deadline.

I also recall that it was stated in Q&A prior to HPS2 that:

'We currently anticipate that transfer values will be higher in the New Scheme than in HPS.However, for a transitional period of six months, transfer values will be calculated on a“better of both” basis, so that if the HPS transfer value would have been higher, this will be paid instead.'

So with the six month clock ticking has anyone had a valuation?

Good question. Why not ask for the transfer value? At the moment the scheme should be close to being fully funded having disposed of the pre-April 97 5% pa increase.
