Tried paying my subs with paypal. Didn't seem to work very well. I've either paid several times over or not at all. Can someone confirm please?

I've asked the treasurer to check what payments have been received.
The payment facility is provided by PayPal. It didn't want to let me pay by credit card. Perhaps because of my current location or because it figured out from my email address that I had a PayPal account and considered I should use that.

I have checked the HPA PayPal account and none of your attempts to pay your membership subscription were successful. Successful payment have been made by debit card and via a personal PayPal account. Hopefully, we will establish what works and the reasons for any glinches as subscription payments mount up.
We will have to have a means for recording some personal information for membership applications. I attached a 'prototype' membership application that describes three methods of subscription payments just in case.
